Movie Weekend

Two great completely different movies. WALL E won the box office over this weekend but I think I prefer WANTED. I like them both a lot. I loved all the kids laughing and enjoying WALL E. Anyway...If you want to see a good movie. Take you pick!!

Philadelphia......Whuuuuuut

Today we went to Philly, PA! It was so worth the drive and time away from the pups, Even though I worried about them.

Liberty Bell. It was really cool to see in person. So much smaller then we expected it to look like. We went with Jason and Ashley Anderson. Marks always gotta squeeze in some good faces for the camera wherever he can.

Philly Cheesesteaks!!! This is what we really came for! They were amazing. We found this awesome market in the middle of the city and chose the place with the longest line. They were freakin' fantastic.

Mark and Jason had a good race up the Rocky steps. Its a must do I think. Mark kept up pretty good with his flops on.

All these cute kids were playing in the fountain in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (which was amazing by the way) so Mark and I had to dip our feet in. The fountain was gorgeous and so relaxing to listen too.

Overall the day was so much fun. I am so glad we went with the Anderson's. They are always good company and have been great friends to us this summer. I loved having Ashley at the Art Museum she taught me a lot about paintings and different artists. It was nice to have a day away from good 'ol Owings Mills and spend some quality time with my always entertaining and hilarious hubby!

Amish Country with the Nish's

Ashley Nish Anderson's family was in town this week and they so generously invited me to come to Amish Country with them. It was a total blast. Such a fun family. We saw all the fun tourist places as well as the local Amish places. We stopped and got homemade Root Beer and potato chips and bought the most killer scooter ever. So the Amish kids aren't aloud to ride on a anything that can go as fast or faster than a horse, so they ride these wicked scooter!! Last time I went to Lancaster my mom and I fell in love with them. So I bought one!!!! We had so much fun playing in this incredible antique shop in Bird in Hand. We tried on fun hats and old man glasses. This was the biggest dog I've seen! His name is Colby he lives in front of the shop that the next 2 videos were taken at. You must press play! It's the funnest bike/thing I have ridden.

Update: I found a vet that is amazing! Cali is doing excellent today. The doctor gave her a steroid shot and then she slept all day yesterday which was great! I just have to give her a pill every other day for 5 days. The doc thinks she got a spider bite or stung by a bee. She had a reaction exactly like this one back around Christmas and we didn't catch it in time so she ended up spending the night on an IV at the animal hospital. So I am very happy I took her in immediately. Anyway.. All is well we've both caught up on our sleep and she is perfectly normal. Well, except she should shed off a pound I am told. But I think she is so dang cute how she is.

Playin' at the Pool and...doggie probs

So I have been awake off and on throughout the night but officially got out of bed at 5 freakin' am! That is extremely early 'round these parts. My sweetie dog Cali didn't sleep a wink. She just keeps wondering around the house laying on the couch for 5 min, then her bed for 5 min, then our bed for 5 min, then shades bed for 5 min, it's just so sad. She seems to be having a reaction to something. Her skin is really tight and feels thick and hard. Parts of it feel like she has tons of cysts under it. Don't you all worry though, I am just waiting until 8 am when I can take her into the vet!! On a lighter note.....Sundays are Mark's only day off and we like to go out and site see most of the time. Lately things have been a bit different. Mark is working harder then ever and by the time Sunday rolls around he just wants to relax at home and by the pool. So here are a few pics of us messing around. Mark is so adorable in the pool, he gets this cute little boy smile like he is a kid again. So much fun.. So that random pic with our heads and feet out of the water was this --actually super fun and entertaining game we were playing. It's as simple as what it looks like, trying to hold our feet and heads out of the water as long as we can. wow how old are we? I just read that back and it sounded so lame, oh well that us we are random.

I wanted everyone to know that today is the wonderful Mallory Mckell's 23rd Birthday!! Mal is such a great person and the bestest friend ever. I have known her since my first day of kindergarden in Utah. She has been my best friend ever since. You all should give her a shout out today!

Hapnin' Sundee

Yay we finally did something fun I can blog about!! We went to the Boston Red Sox Vs. Baltimore Orioles baseball game. It was so much fun but oh so hott! We sweat like crazy I must admitt. Every so often the sun would get covered by the amazing dark clouds which was a blessing or we wouldn't have survived. I have a terrible famer's tan on my arm now, yes ARM just one of them!! Anyway... This is a bunch of Mark's office buddies we are with all the time. from the left here we go....Geoff, Ryan and his wife Kami with 3 week old darling baby Rylee, us, Marks cuz Scott, Jesus, Nick, Derrick and last but not least of course....Dallas. What a great pick, Right?? The big man in the green jersey in front of us was telling Kami and I some extremely vulgar jokes we didn't want to hear. He wasn't getting the hint when we told him we weren't enjoying them. I think, well I know he was a little bit drunk. I guess the 4 Bud Lights he was having a hard time holding gave it away ;) All in all the day was fun. It was nice to get out and do something. It's just funny how sitting watching a 3 hour baseball game really drains ya.
