Bye to mom and dad

1st thing, We had our 5 year anniversary last friday!! I can't believe it. I wasn't around for it which is sad but he had to work anyway. So TRESSA, that's 18 long stemmed red thornless roses, beats the 3 right? haha
a few random things i got to do with my parents. we went to philly for a few days and toured the old prison there which was very interesting.  We went to Coney Island and had Nathan's Hotdogs which is very famous around those parts. It was a really fun place i will definitely go back before heading home.
My dad drove us to Amish country because he'd never been. It is always such a fun place to see. my mom had to pull over at this Christmas store and museum. She was in heaven. I am sad they are gone now but it was really a lot of fun and very relaxing. Thanks mom and dad for taking me to see everything out here. It was so much fun.

Next few post for my family.....again

Ok so my main purpose for our blog is to show my family back in Utah what we are up to when we aren't living there, which usually turns out to be 5 1/2 months out of the year. The next few days with be parental unit posts! They are out here visiting which is great. I am so lucky because they took me to Wicked, again. I just went with my nephew, let me tell you it's much better the 2nd time for some reason. My dad was the photographer today so my sisters understand how the day went and why the pics are ahh boring ish! haha love you dad.  so there is my mom and I in the rain in front of a wicked sign.  My wonderful parents in front of another wicked sign.  me and my sweet pops in front of another wicked sign..... :) This is mostly for my brother Chad, my dad wanted a pic of us in front of the LIRR sign cuz he took that train everyday in his mission i guess.  We also shopped and ate in Times Square. It was a fun day I am very glad they are here. Tomorrow we are off to Philly PA and Amish country which is one of my fav places to visit!!
P.S. Tressa and Tawn--We went in to Toy's R Us in Times Square and they had sooo much littlest pet-shops. So fun. It also had a huge Ferris Wheel in the middle of the store. So cute your kids would die!

For my family

This post is mainly for my family so it will probably be boring to the rest of you....
My 19 year old Nephew Tanner came to visit to see NYC for his last hurrah before the Mission! He leaves in 9 days!! The main reason was to see Wicked which was amazing. I was very pleased! Seriously awesome.  The Empire State Building is always awesome no matter how many times you go up. I could stand up there for hours it's breathtaking. That city is crazy huge and the buildings are massive.  Ok so we took on of those double decker bus tours throughout the city and that is sooo the way to do it. We got to see absolutely everything in 2 days! It's was kinda funny cuz we could put our hand up and hit the street signs. Our guide says people get knocked down by them every so often. Most fascinating cathedral. So detailed. Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum is so much fun. Totally worth checking out. Tanner got a NYC pizza slice everyday sometimes 2x he was in love. Weirdest cab I have ever seen. This kid wouldn't smile in any picture. He just likes to be weird in them he says! huhSo last but not least I totally had to post this picture I took. If any of you all watch The Real Housewives of New York you know what this is. It was a random place we walked by and I was totally star struck! I wanted so badly to see inside so we decided to just ask the receptionist for directions. Luckily I stopped flipping out and acted like I didn't know where I was. So dumb but made my day!

and after the race...

After the race on Sunday we went to FAO Schwartz to play around and take a pic with the BIG piano! The store was amazing. It had any toy that any kid would ever want. So unbelievable.  Yay for the BIG piano. it was actually pretty cool but smaller then I thought it would be. Isn't that how everything is tho. After the toy store we turned the corner and found this fun burger place called Pop Burger. They were so tiny as you can see. It was definitely a fun restaurant.

My first 10K race!

So here it goes... Sunday morning Bre (my sis in-law) and I woke up at 4 am to catch our train so we could get to our 10K race in Central Park! It was such a warm sunny day perfect for running.  I was so nervous I haven't ever run that far before. I made it through and here are the pictures of every mile. We ran the entire thing, no walking or slowing down just kept a steady pace. It was so fun, there were around 7,000 women racing which was awesome!  Mile 1 Yay!
2 down and totally happy not knowing there was a giant hill up ahead :(
(up right) Mile 3 hating the hills! they were all over the place in this race
                                              Mile 4- 2/3 the way done !!
It made me so happy Mark came to support me. This was  a huge accomplishment for me. I am so proud of myself. It sounds dumb to all you runners cuz it's 6.2 miles, but that's a lot for me! I seriously wanted to cry at the end. I would get goosebumps every mile marker we passed just because it was so overwhelming, the people, being in New York in Central Park. so fun and amazing. Thanks Bre for getting me to do this. Glad we did!
(1/2 marathon in September is next I guess)
Maybe.....

The Hamptons

I can't get enough of this picture! We all look ridiculous- it's just awesome. We were just trying to jump up all crazy and it snapped just as we started! Camera timers-gotta love em :) Carley and her sweet little redheaded daughter Scarlet. Most chill baby I know. Love her. The weather was nice and we thought why not go check out the Hamptons because it's only 30 minutes away from here. I have always wanted to go see all the huge beach houses. It wasn't a let down let me tell ya. The houses are amazing, the town was so cute, the sand was so soft and the water was gorgeous, it's still a little cold around here to sunbathe but it was fun anyway.
I had to get a picture of cute little Jaquie, she is 7 months pregnant and you can hardly tell. Get outta here!
Of course we couldn't leave without hitting up a bakery and trying a giant cupcake. Sooo good!

Thank you my dear!

So I was miserably sick yesterday, Literally got off the couch once to take my dogs out and that's it. I didn't eat I didn't have dinner ready for Mark when he got home, I felt disgusting, Then my sweet man walks through the door with those pretty flowers. I seriously teared up a bit. I just wanted him home, but him walking in with flowers of course made me feel much better. Thank you babe!
